Contributing to trusted access to health information
On 17 June 2026 in Nonthaburi, HealthTAG took part in WHO Thailand’s Inception Workshop: Establishing Trusted Personal Health Records and Digital Health Wallets in Thailand. Participants discussed how personal health records and digital health wallets could become services that people can trust and use within Thailand’s health system.
HealthTAG contributed perspectives from its work on health data infrastructure, with attention to secure connections and patient-centered design. Connected information needs clear access permissions so patients can understand and control how their health information is used.
Personal health records and digital health wallets
The discussion covered how personal health records can help people access their own health information and how digital health wallets can carry information or digital credentials when people receive care. Trust therefore depends on more than connecting systems. It also requires clear identity, access, and accountability across the organizations involved.
HealthTAG shared its experience and heard from other participants working on digital health in Thailand. The discussion addressed health services that are secure, connected, and designed around patients.
